Customer agreement Terms and Conditions: fees, privacy, and payout rules
- Direct phone, email, social media, and street address fields are blocked during posting and public bidding.
- Street addresses are not collected on MovenHelpers. Customer contact information remains hidden until payment succeeds and the selected helper accepts the job agreement.
- The customer pays the final accepted bid plus the disclosed administrative fee amount.
- Customers send e-Transfer before the booking continues. e-Transfer may involve bank charges, which the customer must confirm with their bank.
- Estimated PayPal processing charges are disclosed before payment and payout. The current estimate starts from a 2.90% + $0.30 CAD commercial-transaction formula and may be higher depending on PayPal, the payment method, currency, and account rules.
- MovenHelpers does not absorb PayPal fees. Platform PayPal receipt and send fees are included in the disclosed PayPal fee estimate on either transaction, with no exception.
- The disclosed PayPal receipt/send fee estimate is split 50% to the Customer and 50% to the Helper in the platform display.
- Payment processing charges may vary by payment method, country, currency conversion, or account pricing.
- One-time Helper verification fee: $4.99 CAD. This fee may change without notice.
- The helper pays the disclosed helper administrative fee amount deducted from the final accepted bid before payout.
- Before payment, both parties are shown the accepted bid, administrative fee amounts, PayPal processing-charge shares, Customer total, and estimated Helper payout.
- No tax is calculated, collected, withheld, or deducted by MovenHelpers in this transaction.
- MovenHelpers does not collect, view, or store Helper government ID documents or full identity-verification images. identity verification collects and processes those directly. MovenHelpers receives and stores only the minimum verification result needed to approve or reject a Helper account.
- The disclosed administrative fees are retained by MovenHelpers according to the accepted payment and cancellation terms.
- The Helper receives the accepted bid minus the disclosed Helper administrative fee amount and applicable processing charges after both sides confirm completion and no hold applies.
- If either party voluntarily withdraws after payment, the applicable cancellation charge and actual PayPal charges may apply.
- A customer is not charged a cancellation penalty when Admin determines that the job failed because the selected helper's contact stopped working, payment could not proceed because of a helper-side issue, or a similar circumstance was not the customer's fault.
- A customer may repost the job after a failed assignment. Penalties apply when the customer instead voluntarily withdraws from the paid transaction or leaves the platform after payment.
- A helper who voluntarily withdraws after payment is subject to applicable penalties. When Admin determines that the failure was a technical or account issue rather than an intentional withdrawal, the helper may re-register without penalty.
- Platform communications from bidding through job completion may be retained and reviewed internally to administer cancellations, fee waivers, reposting, suspensions, and re-registration.
- Internal administrative review is not dispute mediation and does not determine either party's legal rights or liability.
- All payment and payout processing is provided through PayPal. For Canadian PayPal accounts, the contracting entity identified by PayPal is PayPal payments Canada, Ltd. MovenHelpers does not collect or store full card or bank details.
- MovenHelpers may submit payment, refund, hold, and payout instructions through PayPal and maintain related platform records, but PayPal, financial institutions, and payment networks control authorization, settlement, fraud review, disputes, chargebacks, reversals, and bank-deposit timing.
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MovenHelpers is not responsible for losses arising solely from a lost, stolen, counterfeit, fraudulently used, or otherwise unauthorized financial instrument or from an unauthorized transaction processed outside MovenHelpers' systems. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or liability arising from MovenHelpers' own fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.
- Suspected unauthorized transactions must be reported promptly to the card issuer or financial institution and to PayPal Support. Payment-processing and payout-processing issues should be directed to PayPal or the applicable payment provider. MovenHelpers may assist with its platform records but cannot decide or reverse a bank, card-network, or payment-provider decision.
- Refunds are issued only through PayPal to the original payment method. Refunds are never redirected to another card, bank account, helper, cash recipient, or electronic-transfer address.
- Refunds commonly appear within 5–10 business days, but timing is controlled by PayPal, the card network, and the customer's bank. Failed refunds may take longer to resolve.
- Original payment processing charges are not normally returned and may be deducted as permitted by the accepted cancellation policy.
- During an ongoing transaction, the customer may amend only their name, telephone, and preferred time. The accepted bid cannot be changed.
- The customer is responsible for calculating and posting an accurate total distance estimate.
- Misrepresenting the distance, or using a static accepted bid for a materially different move distance, may void the posting and may be treated as abuse of platform privileges.
- A customer requiring a materially different move distance must cancel the original transaction and create a separate new post. Applicable cancellation charges, administrative fees, and payment-provider fees may apply.
- The Helper cannot initiate an amendment and may only request cancellation subject to the accepted consequences.
- After both parties confirm completion or payment is distributed, the transaction is final and amendments are locked. The customer must create a separate new post.
- If the customer cancels and reposts instead of amending the ongoing transaction, applicable cancellation charges and payment-provider fees are triggered according to the accepted cancellation policy.
- Payments flagged for fraud review, unauthorized use, dispute, or chargeback may remain held. Helper payout will not be released while the related payment is under review or reversed.
- Coordinated customer-helper activity intended to obtain an improper refund, payout, or account benefit may result in cancellation, suspension, permanent removal, and reporting through PayPal or appropriate authorities.
- If multiple helpers are requested, equal work/equal pay is assumed unless the customer clearly discloses a pay difference footnote on the job post.
- Customer accounts are retained for one year and may be renewed by the customer.
- Individual helper accounts are retained for one month and may be renewed by the helper.
